What to Include in a Replacement Cartridge Heater RFQ

Most cartridge heater enquiries stall on one missing detail: the dimensions of the heater being replaced. Use this checklist before you request a cartridge heater quote and sales can usually quote without a single follow-up question.

1. Diameter and heated length

Measure the bore the heater fits into (diameter) and the heated section (length). A rough sketch with units is enough — vernier readings are ideal, tape measurements work.

2. Voltage and wattage

Copy these from the heater nameplate. If the markings are worn off, tell us the machine’s supply voltage and operating temperature instead.

3. Quantity, including spares

Unit pricing and dispatch priority both depend on quantity. Mention spares upfront — reordering a single heater later costs more per unit.

4. Standard or D-structure

Check whether the cartridge cross-section is round (standard) or D-shaped. A photo of the end face settles it instantly.

5. A photo of the existing unit

Nameplate, leads, and mounting — one clear photo of each. If you are replacing a pencil heater, the same checklist applies; note the slimmer diameter so we match the right type.
